A fenced backyard is preferred for her to run around in. Suki, unfortunately, was never potty trained and uses potty pads. New owners will need be diligent in housebreaking.  Suki likes dogs. She is a little nervous with new people or situations, but once she has time to evaluate, she warms up.  Suki needs to learn leash manners because she has not had a lot of training. &#239&#130&#183  Intelligence Border Collies are often considered the smartest breed. They are highly trainable and excel at herding, agility, and obedience. &#239&#130&#183  Loyal Border Collies are loyal and bond closely with humans. They love to cuddle and can be great couch companions. &#239&#130&#183  Family-friendly for ACTIVE households Border Collies are good with children and other pets. They love, and need, to be active and are spunky and playful.  They can be great teammates for games of Frisbee, hiking, and agility competitions. &#239&#130&#183  High Energy Level They are athletic dogs with TONS of energy. Plenty of exercise and mental stimulation is needed.  They can become mischievous (herding children, chewing or digging) or develop separation anxiety if they don’t receive proper training or consistent mental stimulation. &#239&#130&#183  Barking They will often bark out of excitement, stress, anxiety, playfulness, or loneliness.  They would not be a good match for a home with shared walls, i.e., apartments or townhomes.
