Critter Details

A local Community member contacted a volunteer with Forgotten Cats because a very friendly cat was coming to her house for meals each day. Several times this cat was able to get into her kitchen and didn’t want to leave.    Meet Stormy with the heart shaped black nose.    More than anything else she loves to be pet! You could pet her for hours and she would want more. She’ll rub against you and forcibly put her head in your hands for more strokes of love.    While she’s enjoying your affection, notice her purr. It sounds like she’s chirping and purring at the same time – I call it ‘her churrs.’   And if that isn’t enough she makes both land and air biscuits while she’s churring. It is such a cute combination.   She absolutely loves mouse toys! If you throw her one, she’ll catch it and hold it in her paws and roll around holding it.   Stormy is not too keen on being picked up, however she would love to sit by your side and churr for as long as you are willing to stay.    Stormy has no experience around small children or dogs. At one point she was living on the streets because she has a tip on her left ear so she may have experience with dogs.   Stormy is now playing in our Brookhaven PetSmart adoption center.  One of our volunteers comments, ‘Her name does not reflect her personality….the grey spots are a color like a storm cloud.  She is a quiet, gentle girl, content to lounge and observe.  She does like running through a kitty tunnel or 2 in our playroom, too.      Her pictures show her as the ‘cuddle’ cat.   She is fine with other cats although she does not show the others much interest.  She would be fine with another cat but likely prefers to be the one and only.’   Please ask to meet Stormy at our Brookhaven PetSmart adoption center and have some playtime!  Thank you!  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  (Foster:  Tracy Jo D.)
