Sloane’s story is one of resilience and second chances. After spending a year in a rural South Carolina shelter with no interest from potential adopters, her fate seemed sealed when she landed on the euthanasia list. Her previous owner, once located, chose not to reclaim her, having lost interest upon learning she had been spayed. But just when her future looked bleak, a volunteer stepped up in a big way—offering to pay for Sloane to attend a board and train program, giving her the opportunity to grow and prepare for her forever home. Thanks to this generous act, Sloane’s life was saved.
