All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Have you heard of a thing called a 'New Years Resolution'?' You have? Oh. Well, I just learned about it. My foster parents told me about it the other night when we stayed up WAY PAST my bedtime to watch TV and listened to loud, colorful booms in the sky. Have you ever seen those? I don't know what they're about, so I didn't pay much attention to them Well, anyway, my resolution is to find my forever family! I don't think that will be too hard to do since I am a very cute little guy! I've been told a resolution is a goal you have to work towards, so I have been making sure to work on myself to make sure my resolution comes true. Here are some things I have been doing: 1) Exercise: I make sure to get my cardio in every day by playing fetch. It is my favorite activity, so I guess it isn't really a chore 2) Getting enough rest: I make sure to get enough sleep each night. I try to get a peaceful night's sleep in my crate without complaint 3) Keeping my mind sharp: I try to keep my mind sharp by practicing my obedience. So far, I know 'sit' and 'come', but I'd love to learn more! 4) Being comfortable alone and in a group: I am good with other calm dogs or by myself! I hope my hard work will pay off and I can be in a home soon. If you are looking for a 20-pound pup who is very smart and calm, please submit an application on our website  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
