  Sasha – Female DOB 9/1/2012 Domestic Short Hair Calico –   Sasha is super sweet lady with a touch of tortitude and a flair for being dramatic. Sasha loves to be near her humans. In particular, she loves to settle down on your legs or chest for a nap. Pets and scratches are not required, but often appreciated. If sleeping on top of you is not possible, she will settle for curling up next to you under the sheets. As a sophisticated and well mannered kitty, Sasha will never scratch or bite, but she is not afraid to speak her mind and speak it loudly. She believes she’s been around long enough to do whatever she wants and will complain loudly when told otherwise. If Sasha wants attention and you aren’t giving it to her, she will jump up to “help” you with whatever you are doing and push her head into your hands until you give her some love. Sasha also enjoys look out open windows and basking in the sun. When she’s done basking, she may do a bit of parkour jumping from one high spot to another (or perhaps climbing all over you), and then go find a place to take a nap for the day. She is often found sleeping in a “loaf” position with her head down and resting on her nose. Sasha came to the shelter after her owner passed away and the family was unable to find her a permanent home or take her in themselves. Sasha has adapted very well to her new surroundings and is confident exploring new environments and meeting new people. Sasha has lived with both cats and dogs, but doesn’t much care for them. She would do best either as an only kitty, or with an older cat or dog who doesn’t want to be friends. No children would be best.
