He’s a cuddler and lap cat!!!  Meet Reacher! This hunky guy was left behind when his owners moved and just did not feel the need to bring him with them and was left outside to fend for himself.  Reacher’s foster mom received a phone call from a friend saying that their neighbors moved and left their cat, and he was living in a hole next to the apartment complex.  He was scared and trying to get into his old apartment.  When his foster mom came to see what she could do, Reacher came right up to her, friendly as can be and looked up at her with those big green eyes and that was it.  Into the car he went and back to a safe home for some extra love and care.  She called Forgotten Cats, and they accepted him into the fold, and now he is looking for a loving home that he can call his forever home. Reacher, named after the big muscly book and TV character, is a friendly guy that likes to cuddle. The first night he was in the home he curled up next to his foster mom as close as he could get, put his paw on her lap, took a deep sigh and fell asleep.  She thought he must not have felt safe enough for so long that he was finally able to sleep deeply.   He now comes and curls up on her lap every night gives her a big head butt and a playful nip on the nose before snuggling in for a nice nap.  He has a bit of PTSD from being left out on the street.  Reacher was an indoor cat before that happened, so he experienced some scary things on his own.  He will sometimes growl out the window if he hears loud men talking or a trash truck or dogs barking.  He is starting to feel safe in his foster home, so the growling is becoming less frequent.  The growling is just at things happening outside, not at the people or other cats in the home. Reacher is starting to feel comfortable enough to play a bit and run around with the cats that live in his foster home. He has a big presence and can be a little intimidating to shy cats.  His foster mom says the confident cats in her home are good with him, but her shy cat is not a fan.  It’s all new for everyone, but she thinks he is just trying to find his place.  He really likes the laser toy and likes trying to run and then pounce on top of it. Reacher is a talker! If he is hungry, he will meow loudly and follow you around until you fill his bowl. He is a big boy and loves to eat!  He also meows loudly if he doesn’t know where his foster mom is in the house. As soon as she calls his name, he comes running. Reacher is looking for a home that will make him feel safe and loved. He really just wants a nice warm lap to curl up into at night and know that he is finally home. Reacher would do best with older children and confident kitties. No dogs please.  Please  submit our no-obligation application for a meet and greet or to adopt: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Laura K.)
