We love Pineapple and we know you will too! Pineapple is about 3 months old and is the perfect mix of independent and cuddly. She loves to play fetch and is a curious girl who is eager to explore. She can be a little shy at first, but she is quick to become your BFF and cover you with kisses. Pineapple currently weighs around 6lbs and we estimate she will be 10-15lbs when fully grown. Pineapple came to us from a local shelter with her mom, Strawberry, and 4 siblings. They were found as strays, and at only a couple of weeks old, the shelter was no place for them to stay long. Luckily, we were able to rescue the family and they now are all ready for adoption. Pineapple is the most people-oriented of the group. She loves to wrestle with her sisters, but will often seek humans for treats and tug of war. She is full of energy and  is looking for an active family who can keep up with her puppy antics. Once playtime is over, she will curl up for nap time in your lap. Being the smart cookie she is, Pineapple is prone to getting bored fast, so her new family will need to be prepared to keep her days full of mental stimulation. She is still learning all her basic manners, so needs a family committing to continuing her training and socialization. Pineapple loves other dogs and would be a great little sister to another playful small/medium-sized dog. Pineapple lives with cats in her foster home and could do well living with dog-savvy cats in her forever home with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Pineapple could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 8 years or older. Pineapple has been doing well with her housetraining but is still perfecting her potty habits, so her new family should expect to continue her training. She has been doing well being left in a crate overnight and when home alone. Pineapple hasn't spent too much time alone, so would do best with a family who can slowly acclimate her to being home alone. Pineapple is such a darling girl and she is oh-so eager for her fur-ever home. If you think that might be with you, submit an adoption application today!   Pineapple's adoption fee is $400.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/  Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.
