This little guy may be small, but he’s got a big heart and even bigger charm. Pico loves being close to his humans, whether it's snuggling on the couch or following you around the house. He’s a social butterfly and enjoys meeting new people, though he can be a bit reserved at first. Once he warms up, Pico will be your loyal companion, always ready for affection and lap time.  He does show the classic chi-attitude and will bark like a nut job but then if you have a little treat, he will decide you are just fine! Pico was very scared in the shelter and the staff could not touch him for over 2 weeks.  He truly was just shut down but it is important that the new owner understand that he will need time to adjust.  Once he does, he has a playful side and enjoys chasing toys or engaging in short bursts of zoomies. He’s crate trained and gets along well with dogs of all sizes, making him a great addition to a multi-dog household. While Pico hasn’t been tested with cats, he’s shown a friendly demeanor towards everyone he meets. Pico is working on house training and is making great progress, but will need a routine and some patience in his new home. We are currently using belly bands if we are gone for extended hours.  If you’re looking for a loving, petite pup who is ready to find his forever home, Pico de Gallo is your guy!
