Meet Margarita – our one-of-a-kind “Super Mutt”! When we saw Margarita, we had no idea what breeds could possibly make up this adorable girl—so we did a DNA test, and the results had us laughing too! While Labrador Retriever and Chihuahua topped the list, her DNA revealed a whopping 19 different breeds—truly earning her the title of Super Mutt! Margarita is a sweet 4-year-old, weighing in at 37 pounds, and she’s ready to leave her mama days behind and find a loving forever home. She gave birth to her final litter on March 6th, and she’ll be ready to go home April 17th. She’s been an incredible mom and has a gentle, affectionate personality. As her puppies grow more independent, she’s starting to enjoy time with the other dogs in her foster home. Margarita can be a little shy and timid at first, so she’ll do best with a patient family who’s ready to give her the time, love, and encouragement she needs to blossom. Since she’s still caring for her pups, we haven’t been able to test her with cats, kids, crate training, or house training just yet. Margarita is available to go home April 17th, and her 10 adorable puppies will be ready May 1st. If you are interested in adopting Margarita , please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
