Name:   Mamet     Best Guess for Breed: Lab and terrier mix  Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of December 2024      SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:   33 lbs   Gets Along With:  Mamet does well with other dogs. We haven’t seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested if you have them.    Currently Living at:  Coming soon to Lucky Dog’s South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations:    Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Mamet would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.    Mamet is Looking For:  Her forever home! She was thrilled to be rescued from the streets in Puerto Rico and can’t wait to get her own humans. Long sniffy walks, romps in parks, all the adventures – yes, please! Quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and dog toys sound great too but you know what she wants most of all? To know she’s safe and loved and under her own roof. In exchange, she has so much to offer – adoring gazes, tail wags, all the affection she’s stockpiling in the shelter, and loyal companionship for all her days.    Look at that gentle face. What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update once this pup has arrived in the DC area and spent some time in foster care!
