As a kitten, she had a bit of a bossy streak, but as she’s grown, she’s blossomed into a sweet, affectionate companion who adores being around other cats and humans alike. Madame has inherited a few cheeky habits from her mother, including a knack for stealing any unattended food. But don’t worry—she makes up for it with her love of snuggling and her entertaining antics. She’s known for zooming around the house with boundless energy, often slipping off surfaces or bumping into walls, only to try again with relentless determination. Madame doesn’t always think through her decisions, but that just adds to her charming, slightly clumsy personality. While she’s not a fan of being held, Madame is incredibly affectionate when it comes to cuddling. If she wants to snuggle, she’s determined to make it happen, whether it’s with you, another cat, or even your favorite cozy spot. Her day starts early, filled with playful energy, and after a quick nap, she’s back to zooming around until it’s time to settle down for dinner and a bedtime snuggle. Madame loves to be close to her people and fellow cats, making her the perfect companion for a home with lots of love and cozy nooks for her to snuggle up in. If you’re looking for a cat who’s full of personality, loves to play, and will be your constant cuddle buddy, Madame is the perfect fit! Click here for a cute video of me when I was a little younger! Madame is from an owner surrender with her mom and one sister. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.Click here to watch a video of Madame.
