Lady may have an independent streak, but she’s also a sweetheart who loves to cuddle at night and gets along well with other cats.  Despite her name, Lady isn’t very ladylike at all! She has a knack for getting messy—whether it’s playing in the litter box, dipping her paws in the water dish, or covering her face in wet food during meals. She’s always finding new ways to get into mischief, especially in the evening when she’s full of energy. Lady enjoys playing with anything she can find, from dust bunnies to shoes left by the door, and she’s been known to chew on cords if she gets the chance. When it’s time for bed, Lady might try to keep the fun going, but when she’s finally tired out, she’ll gladly snuggle up with you. Although she’s not the most affectionate cat during the day and prefers to do her own thing, she has a soft spot for playtime and loves to explore her surroundings. Lady is typically quiet and reserved when she’s not playing, making her a perfect companion for someone who appreciates a mix of independence and affectionate moments. If you’re looking for a clever, playful cat who’s full of personality, Lady could be the perfect match for your home! Lady is from an owner surrender with her mom and one sister. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
