Introducing Izzy, a gorgeous and delightful 44-lb bundle of love. Izzy recently arrived from the shelter and settled in her first foster home. A sweet and affectionate girl, she brings joy and love to everyone she's met. While initially hesitant about going in her crate as she doesn't want to miss out on anything, she quickly settles down and enjoys a peaceful night’s sleep. With just a little patience and encouragement, she is learning the ropes of house training and now understands that outside is the place to go instead of holding until she can't. Izzy's well-mannered and incredibly friendly—enjoying the company of humans and other dogs. Her gentle nature shines through as she eats calmly alongside her furry friends and happily engages with everyone around her with leaps and bounces. We'll work on the leaps since Izzy loves treats and likes to please. She loves to interact, often trying to join the fun when the resident shepherds are playing. The resident shepherds like her, and she respects the senior shepherd and the standard poodle with lots of deference, reserving her energy for the younger shepherds. While waiting for her ride to her next foster home, she shares her current one with Astro and Stewie.  This playful shepherd is also treat-motivated, has a soft mouth, and knows how to sit on command, making her a joy to train.  Izzy is curious and unbothered by the hustle and bustle of everyday life, as shown when she curiously watches the Roomba before opting for some outdoor adventure instead. She loves to have her people in view, typical of her breed, settled and snoozing if they aren't ready to interact with her.  Izzy also loves collecting her assorted toys and random shoes into dog beds and snuggling right into her people when allowed on the bed. Izzy loves toys, and slippers are her favorite napping companions. She can put her nose in the slippers or use them as pillows while she sleeps. Izzy met Ollie Bear for a walk, where she showed off that she's easy on the leash and interested in meeting everyone so they can pet her. We followed their joint walk for an easygoing play date.Izzy has quickly recovered from her spay and will move to her next foster home this weekend. We're also ready to match her to a forever family. She's one of those "foster fail" puppies who's an easy fit in a household. We ask adopters interested in Izzy to have experience with shepherds or similar herding or working breeds and the time and resources to commit to lots of love, structure, environmental exposure, and training. Will you be the one to welcome her into your heart and home? Also, have you visited our YouTube channel? We would love your support by subscribing to our channel and liking and commenting on the videos we share of our adoptable shepherds in action. As a foster-based rescue, ShepHeroes is always in need of fosters. An overwhelming number of shepherds in our local shelters need our help for a fresh start. Would you be willing to share your home and part of your summer to help shepherds find new families? You provide the love, and we'll provide everything else! Saying "yes" today truly saves a life. Complete this  https://www.shepheroes.org/foster-form, and we'll be in touch ASAP! We appreciate your consideration.
