All AHHS animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate). Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions. She came to the AHHS after being passed around from owner to owner. Frankie's first had owners that were elderly and did not have the time/energy for her. Her second owner was a younger individual, but they worked long work hours and made the decision to surrender her. We had what was seemingly the perfect person come along for her, however, it was later determined that she would do best as the only dog in the home.  We are requiring Frankie's adopter to either be experienced with her breed or be willing to do research. She deserves a loving, forever home.  An ideal candidate for Frankie would be someone home often, that is active and has no other dogs in the household. She is insanely intelligent, very motivated to learn, and loves to please.
