Critter Details

Social and friendly kitty who arrived all beaten up from the being alone surviving on the streets. He was heavily infested with flea for which we applied topical flea medicine so the fleas are now dead. Over time, the flea bite wounds will heal. He has a stocky tom cat body frame and is talkative and loving. He is ready for indoor life to keep him safe. He is a major LAP CAT and will sit and stay on your lap for a long time.Donut is also FIV+, so he needs to be an inside only cat. FIV is slow acting, cat-only virus, and cannot be transmissible to humans, dogs, or other species of animals. FIV is not spread casually – like in litter boxes, food and water bowls, or when snuggling and playing. Instead, FIV is spread through serious, deep penetrating bite wounds — The type of bite wound that is seen most often in feral, intact tomcats — or by blood transfusions. Cats with FIV can live very long, perfectly comfortable lives. Provide FIV+ cats with a good diet and annual veterinarian exam, and address any secondary health concerns as they arise.**WALK IN SHELTER TO ADOPT Tuesday Noon-5pm, Wednesday 12-6pm, Thursday-Sunday Noon-5pm (Closed Mondays and Holidays). All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
