To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE   Age: 3 months (as of 1/15/2025) Weight: 5.7 lbs (as of 1/13/2025) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Introducing the three Amigos puppies! We have three handsome little (and we mean LITTLE!) boys – Conrad, Clifford, and Chet.  They are all eager to find their new homes. We think these pups may be chihuahua mix, but your guess is as good as ours.  Chet comes from an active foster home where he has been living with two adults, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and a bird.  Chet’s foster family reports that he is an affectionate little dude who is outgoing and playful. He loves playing chase and bitey-mouth with his canine friends, and he also enjoys a chew toy or squeaky toy (he’s pint-sized, so they are too!).  Is it naptime?  Chet is down for some cuddles on the sofa, and he definitely won’t turn down lap time with his people! Being so young, Chet would love to find a family who has the time and patience to raise a puppy; he has so much to learn!  He'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs – and especially puppies – attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his human family. It’s lots of fun, too! Puppies are a lot of work and require a strong commitment to teaching them obedience, socializing with other dogs and people, playing with them and loving them to pieces. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience to bring up a puppy and it’s totally worth it! If you're ready to make that awesome commitment to bring up Chet, then fill out an application today! Wet puppy kisses and warm, furry snuggles are awaiting! Medical Note:  This dog is being treated/has been treated for demodectic mange, a non-contagious skin condition. The dog has responded well to this treatment and is ready for adoption, though may still have some bald patches and/or thin fur in places.  Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption for adults or until 18 months of age for puppies.  Please see here for more information on demodectic mange and talk with your Adoption Counselor about this condition.  Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application – SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know – For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not by breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
