Name: Buddy       Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd and retriever mix  Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of April 2025         SEX:    male   Approximate Weight:  45 lbs as of 4/14/25; he is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen hjim with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get his freedom ride up here!   Buddy is Looking For:  His forever home! This sweetie is at the tail end of puppyhood and hasn’t seen nearly enough of the world. He’s eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for romps in the park and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he’ll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. An XL one – he’s gonna be a big boy when full grown!Most of all, though, he wants to know he’s safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he’s storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Does he get to be your Buddy?
