www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.org Anya is ready for her forever home! She is a 2-year-old, 61.2lb, Siberian Husky. Given her weight, head/ear shape and paw size she may have a small percentage of Malamute in her. She was brought to the shelter by an animal control officer as a stray and was never reclaimed. The shelter was over capacity but we had room for her, so here she is! Anya is perfect! She has a Disney character smile. She is completely housebroken. She is crate trained. She is sweet, sweet, sweet. She has a prey drive and pulls slightly on a leash. She loves to walk and go for car rides. She's not a picky eater and is a pretty quiet girl except when she's wrestling with the other dogs. And oh boy, does she like to Husky wrestle!! That's the only real requirement to adopt Anya…. you must have another young, playful dog in the home who likes to play morning, noon and night. And if you don't, consider adopting both Anya and her pal Zoya. While they haven't known each other long, they are good friends and keep each other well entertained. Anya is really just a superstar. She's spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccines and healthy. She knows some basic commands but does get very excited to greet new people and jumps up. We're working on this manner, but we would suggest she not go into a home where there are small children. She is a long-haired and will need someone dedicated to keeping her coat free from mats – NO shaving! Anya is located in MD. We would like any potential adopter to come to MD, but will transport if necessary. Adoption area is states along the east coast. Further exceptions granted on a case by case basis. Apply at huskyrescueteam.org/apply ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply     If you have additional questions please email  info@huskyrescueteam.org
